During the day, we will take you to explore breathtaking landscapes as we drive you to the starting point of the trek. You will enjoy an exclusive visit to our Sky Camp and a hike to the lagoon. Afterwards, you’ll have time to relax, enjoy a delicious lunch and take in the most spectacular panoramic views imaginable before heading back to town.

Embark on an unforgettable day of adventure that begins early, at 4:00 a.m., with pick-up directly from your hotel in Cusco. Our first destination is Mollepata, where we will stop the journey to enjoy a comforting breakfast while contemplating the majestic mountain scenery illuminated by the first light of day. This moment offers a perfect opportunity to capture memorable photographs and fill your mind with the natural beauty of the Andes.
Once refreshed, we will continue our journey in our comfortable transportation to Soraypampa, located at an altitude of 3,900 meters above sea level. Here, you will feel the powerful presence of the glaciers, with their imposing snowy faces that defy any force or evil. Before starting our hike, our guide will share important instructions for the approximately two-hour ascent to the Humantay Lagoon.
For the best views, you can climb a little further up the rocky slopes surrounding the lagoon, where the intensity of the turquoise water and the grandeur of the mountain panorama will amaze you.
After fully enjoying the scenery and the spiritual experience at Humantay Lake, we will start the descent back to Soraypampa, which will take about an hour and a half. Once there, we will head to our Sky Camp where a spectacular lunch prepared by our chef awaits you, while we share anecdotes and reflections about the day.
Finally, we will board our private transportation to return to Cusco, where we will drop you off at the door of your hotel at around 6:30 p.m. After a day full of exploration, admiration and connection with nature, you will be ready to rest and remember with joy this unique experience in the Peruvian Andes with Riqchary Cusco. All Salkantay Trekking guides have received specialized training in first aid. We hold mandatory training sessions with our guides every February. Your guide will always carry a first aid kit to face basic emergencies (altitude sickness, travelers' diarrhea, cuts, scrapes, etc.) as well as oxygen. If necessary, we’ll evacuate you from the path as quickly as possible and ensure that you arrive at a clinic for treatment.

Our chef prepares the best dishes in the middle of the mountain. Our passengers love our food! We respect all diets (vegetarian, vegan, or special menus are available at no extra cost), so let us know if you have any particular allergies or restrictions on your reservation form and remind your guide during the briefing.

Before the hike, we'll provide you with a water bottle and snacks of local fruits, cookies, chocolate, caramels, etc.
